Following are the steps you must take in order to configure and administer the Oracle Streams feature to propagate changes between multiple databases. Note that this is a very brief overview of the Streams configuration process designed to give you a flavor of the process. You must have at least one log archive destination at the site running the downstream capture process. Make sure you allocate at least 200MB to the STREAMS_POOL_SIZE memory component of the SGA. Ensure that the undo tablespace is large enough to accommodate the UNDO_RETENTION setting. Make sure your source database is in archivelog mode. 2. Create a new user to manage the streams. Before you create the user, you may want to create a new tablespace for the use of this new Streams user.
